rEFIt erscheint nicht!

Moin,

habe gestern rEFIt installiert um Kubuntu zu installieren.
Zuerst habe ich die automatische installation gewählt, lief ohne Probleme durch, aber es erscheint beim booten kein Menü.

Alsi noch mal manuell die enable.sh hinterhergeschoben, keine Fehlermeldung im Terminal, prima.

Dennoch kein rEFIt Boot-Menü, woran kann das liegen, oder was mache ich falsch ?

Habs nun auch mal mit der enable-always.sh versucht, keine Veränderung.

hast du vielleicht mit kubuntu den boot-sector überschrieben?

ich hab kubuntu noch gar nicht installiert, laut anleitung muss ich das ja auch nicht vorher installieren.

Habe auch das selbe Problem wie du.. würde auch gerne wissen was ich falsch gemacht habe.. Refit normal installiert.. Paar mal neu gestartet und es erscheint nicht.. Im Terminal cd /efi && sudo ./enable-always.sh eingegeben und es geht noch immer nicht

... mal auf Fehlermeldungen geachtet?
bzw. wohin hast du refit installiert?

Was würde denn schlimmstenfalls passieren, wenn ich nun einfach mal Kubuntu installiere ?

wenn du grub nicht in den MBR, sondern nach sda3 installierst, dann nix ...

So hab nun einfach mal Kubuntu instaliert, wie empfohlen den Boot-Loader mit auf sda3.
Hat bisher allerdings nichts an der Situation verändert, außer das nun auch was auf der Partion drauf ist.
rEFIt läd beim booten nicht, auch nicht nach 10facher Neuinstallation sowohl automatisch als auch manuell.
Zwischendurch hab ich rEFIt sogar deinstalliert.

Das sagt mir diskutil:

Microsoft Basic Data ist dabei die JFS+ Partition von Kubuntu.

du hast kubuntu doch nicht auf HFS+ installiert, sondern mit ext3, oder? ... unter Linux mal die partitions-id auf 0x83 geaendert?

poste mal die ausgabe von sudo /efi/refit/enable-always.sh

Nein, ich hab auf JFS+ installiert, laut ubuntuusers.de ne gute Alroundlösung.

Ausgabe:

iMac:~ xxxt$ /efi/refit/enable-always.sh

Wie änder ich auf 0x83 ?

brauchst du fuer JFS keine boot-partition, weil das FS nich im kernel is?
... und wenn, dann wuerd ich XFS nehmen ^^ ... aber das ja zweitrangig

Das geht nun über mein Wissen hinaus ... ich guck mal was passiert mit dem fdisk

So, hab das mal durchgezogen... Ergebnis: Partitionssystem ist nun: Linux (oder so ähnlich hieß es).

Daran das ich keine rEFIt GUI bekomme hat es allerdings nichts geändert.

hm... mal beim starten alt druecken haste auch schonmal versucht, oder?
... das mit dem refit finde ich aber echt verwunderlich ... haette ja noch sein koennen, dass der das linux nich richtig erkennt und denkt, dass eh nur ein system drauf ist und dann das efi-ding ueberspringt ...
wie sieht denn deine konfig aus?

Hätte ich daran was ändern müssen ? Sieht immernoch aus wie am Anfang. Hb bisher nur gelesen das man was ändern muss um Reihenfolgen etc zu änder:

Edith: Hab grad nochmal mit "alt" starten probiert, kommt nur die Mac Platte.

hm... du koenntest mal timeout 0 probieren und neu installieren, aber normalerweise sollten 20 sekunden genuegen, um das ding zu sehen - aber wer weiss - vielleicht haben die ja den timer verbockt ... aktuelle version ists auch??
