SSD / neuen RAM für Mid 2012 MacBook Pro

Hallo zusammen,

da mein Mid 2012 Macbook Pro gerade durch das letzt OS, meiner Meinung nach, sehr langsam geworden ist denke ich darüber nach eine SSD Festplatte oder neuen RAM einzubauen.
Bevor ich das mache würde ich gerne wissen, ob es eine Möglichkeit gibt, ohne Umbau das Macbook wieder ein bisschen auf Touren zu bringen.

Ansonsten würde ich mich über Erfahrungen mit dem Umbau, sowie Kaufempfehlungen freuen.

RAM auf 8GB aufrüsten - für Deine Nutzung sind 4GB zu wenig, wie Du anhand des EtreCheck bereits vermuten kannst. 16GB müssen dagegen nicht sein (die kämen noch einmal 60-70 Euro mehr, schaden andererseits aber auch nicht).
Festplatte durch SSD austauschen.

Meine Empfehlung: Crucial RAM mit dem Systemfinder. Garantiert kompatibel.
SSD - da bietet sich unter P/L eine Crucial BX200 oder BX300 an. Kapazität mindestens 250GB, das sollte für Dich reichen.
Preislich liegt das bei etwa 150 Euronen und haucht dem Mac noch einmal für Jahre Leben ein - Du wirst ihn nicht wiedererkennen und denken, Du sitzt vor einem neuen Mac.

Unbedingt extrem aufpassen musst Du auf das SATA-Kabel. Das darf nicht geknickt, gerissen oder sonstwie vergenusswurzelt werden; sonst ist extreme Langsamkeit, Beachballs/"SAT1-Bälle" oder gar die Unmöglichkeit, intern zu installieren die Folge.

Stimme ich zu. 8GB Ram und SSD einbauen. Du wirst staunen was das ausmacht.
Man kann soviel ich weiß auch so eine Aufrüstung bei Gravis machen lassen. Kostet dann zwar etwas mehr aber es macht ein Fachmann. Allein für den Zuwachs an Geschwindigkeit lohnt sich das meiner Meinung nach.

Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Man hat quasi ein neues MacBook der Leistung nach zu urteilen.

Ich habe das kürzlich bei einer Verwandten gemacht, die schon geweint hat, ein neues kaufen zu müssen. Zuerst gab es ein paar Abstürze (da hatte ich wohl den Speicher nicht richtig drin; dieser Clipmechanismus ist erstaunlich instabil im Sinne von "man muss genau den richtigen Winkel finden"), jetzt ist sie seit drei Wochen hin und weg, dass ihr MBP 13" von 2011 wie ein neuer Mac läuft. Wirklich, das Ding fetzt ab wie eine Rakete (sie hatte damals auch die bessere Ausstattung mit i7 2,9GHz genommen), aber völlig unabhängig von der CPU - die SSD tut Wunder.
