Moin,

vor ein paar Minuten begann der Lüfter meines SantaRosa MBs wie wild zu laufen. Ein Blick in die Aktivitätsanzeige offenbarte, daß es sich bei dem "Schuldigen" um den root-Prozess "DirectoryService" handelt. Dieser beansprucht aktuell 192% CPU-Last (siehe Bild im Anhang)


Beim einem schwarzen MB, mit dem ich zu tun hatte, hab ich diese Situation schon mal welebt. Nachdem das Ding 20Min unter Vollast lief, hab ich den Prozess gekillt und neu gestartet. Seit dem tut er das nicht mehr.


Ich würd gern wissen, was dieser Prozess macht, ob ich ihn durchlaufen lassen soll (wie lange das nur dauern mag?) oder ob ich ihn beenden soll.

Mit Festplattenzugriffen dürfte es nix zu tun haben, jedenfalls sagt die Aktivitätsanzeige nix von Festplatten-Lese- oder -Schreibzugriffen (siehe 2. Bild)



Würd mich freuen, wenn jemand Licht ins Dunkel bringen könnte.

grrrrrrr, es hat sich nix geändert. Noch immer volle CPU-Auslastung mit entsprechender Geräuschkulisse durch diesen Prozess.

Nach 90min hab ich die Kiste neu gestartet und seit dem is Ruhe.

Kann mir trotzdem jemand sagen, was da passiert ist?

Lustig, genau das hatte ich heute auch. Wurde das per Datum ausgelöst? ;)

Ich konnte gleichzeitig keine Verbindung zum Internet mehr aufbauen und als ich mich abmelden wollte (hab mich nicht getraut, den Prozess zu killen) blieb das System hängen.

Ich hol das Thema mal hoch, da mein MacBook Pro durch den gleichen Prozess ständig 90% CPU Auslastung hat... In der system.log komm ich nicht klar, ich hab keinen Plan, was da was ist und wie ich rausfinde, was das verursacht und wie ich das beheben kann.

Wär nett, wenn mir da jemand helfen könnte. :)

Bin mit dem iPhone unterwegs, da ist Log lesen eine Qual , daher nur überflogen.
Dein Nas sucht laufend Verbindung.
Im Dock, bzw dem dock angeschlossenen Prozessen( konnte auch zum beispiel das Dashboard sein ) gibt es ein sich wiederholendes Darstellungsproblem.
Du solltest also überprüfen, ob das Nas ordnungsgemäß arbeitet und was gerade im Dock angezeigt werden soll, oder hast du vielleicht das dock modifiziert?

Das NAS ist weder im Dock, noch im Dashboard. Ich hab die nur im Finder gelistet, anfangs durch "Mit Server verbinden". Das Dock ist auch original

Das Nas hat nichts mit dem dick zu tun, es fabriziert allerdings gehäufte Verbindungssuchen.

Und wie kann ich diese Verbindung zum NAs dauerhaft herstellen? Das NAS sollte ja eigentlich auch meine TimaCapsule sein, was aber leider nicht funktioniert, vielleicht hängt das zusammen?!

Um dir dazu etwas zu sagen, braucht man mehr Daten. ( wie hast du versucht das Nas zur Time capsule zu machen, wie läuft die Verbindung, bzw. sollte sie laufen etc. )
Bei die läuft ja auch der Directory Service(Verzeichnis Dienst ) Amok, dieser Prozess ist der übergeordnete Prozess für derartige verbindungen( hierdruber werden smb, Bonjour, LDAP, netinfo oder sonstige Verbindungen gesteuert) und da bei dir das Nas verrückt spielt liegt die Vermutung nahe, da du da etwas falsch eingestellt hast oder sich etwas verstellt hat.
Ich denke, das hier der Hase im Pfeffer liegt, das darstellungsproblem im Dock wird vermutlich nicht zu dem Problem führen, sondern eine andere Baustelle sein.

Zum NAS:
Also als ich das NAS gekauft hab, hab ich sie angeschlossen, IP rausgefunden und im Finder per "mit Server verbinden" Zugriff hergestellt. Für externen Speicher alles wunderbar, wenn auch etwas langsam. :-S
Als ich nun TimeMachine einrichten wollte, bedarf es aktueller Firmware (die nur unter ******* zu updaten ging) und dann bin ich ins Menü der NAS, wähle dort einen Ordner aus und das Programm will von mir noch "Name des Zielhost" und "Ziel Mac-Adresse" wissen, um eine Datei zu erstellen. Ich hab beides eingegeben (Als Name hab ich den Notebooknamen angegeben, so wurde es überall beschrieben und als MAC Adresse hab ich die Ethernetadresse angegeben, auch nach Empfehlung jeglicher User) und die Datei habe ich dann in TimeMachine aktivieren wollen, jedoch lief es nicht, da TimeMachine mit dem ersten Backup anfangen will, es jedoch nicht schafft das Volume verfügbar zu machen und nach 5 Minuten mit einer Fehlermeldung abbricht, dass er nicht zugreifen kann...allerdings ist auch die Macadresse im Dateinamen eine andere.

Zum DirectoryService:
Der Prozess läuft erst seit ein paar Tagen amok, deswegen die Frage, ob man herausfinden kann, woran das liegt (einen kürzlich installierten Popup-Blocker aus Firefox hab ich schon wieder entfernt, aber es ändert sich nix.)


edit: Kann mir denn jemand sagen, wie ich den NASNavigator mal komplett aus dem Finder lösche und neu einbinde und zwar richtig?

Weiss niemand rat?
Ich habe vorsichtshalber mal mein MacBook Gerätenamen in einen ohne Leerzeichen geändert und seitdem bekomm ich zugriff, aber TM meckert, dass er kein Image erstellen konnte (fehler 45)

edit: Funktioniert nicht, mal sehen, was er unter "Gast" macht... Ich glaub ich mach für mein MacBook mal nen eigenen Thread auf, in dem ich mir Hilfe zur Säuberung hole. :D

Von Passwort hatte ich nichts gesagt nur, das das zielmedium oder die dort abgelegte Datei von Timemachine nicht beschrieben werden kann, Gründe dafür kann es viele geben.

Die Datei habe ich mit dem Terminal erstellt, die sollte funktionieren... Aber das "Verfügbar machen" Des Volume scheitert immer. :( Nur die Datei, die ich mit der NAS Firmware erstellen kann, läuft so auch nicht. :(
