Guten Tag,

ich freue mich, ab heute hier in diesem Forum sein zu können.


Mein Problem ist, dass mein MacBook Air seit geraumer Zeit sehr sehr langsam geworden ist und auch oft dieser "Beachball" gezeigt wird, wenn ich Fenster öffne etc.

Da es bei Eret sowohl als Diagnostik Tool "Computer has become slow" und "Beachballing" gab, hab ich beides mal gemacht und hier die jeweiligen Reports:

Auf den ersten Blick:

1) Du hast eine defekte Installation von Avast auf dem Rechner. Die ganzen Bruchstücke müssen weg. Antivirensoftware gehört nicht auf einen Mac, sie stört.

2) Deine SSD ist fast voll. Lösche unbenötigte Programme und Daten.

Und Du musst Dich wohl mit einem langsamen Rechner anfreunden, Du hast 2GB RAM, der bei dem Gerät wohl auch nicht erweiterbar ist. Und das ist äußerst wenig für Sierra

Ich habe hier auch noch ein MBA 2011 mit 2GB RAM, das ich gerne noch als Couch-Computer nutze. Auch mit Sierra läuft es erstaunlich flott und ohne Beachball.

Wenn es denn ein neues sein soll, welches ist denn empfehlenswert als zukunftssichere Investition und auch vom Gewicht her als Schoß-Computer noch aktzeptabel?

Naja, das hängt auch davon ab was Du damit machen willst. Nur den alltäglichen Kram (Office, Surfen, Mails, Videos schauen u.s.w.) oder auch was aufwändigeres (Videos rendern, Bilder bearbeiten, virtuelle Maschinen betreiben u.s.w.)?
Für die Alltags-Anwendungen reicht jeder Rechner, der aktuell bei Apple erhältlich ist, völlig aus.

Ich habe als Couch-Device ein 2013er MBA in 11 Zoll. Ich liebe dieses Teil! Klein, leicht, super Akkulaufzeit und ausreichend performant. Und ich denke, das wird es auch noch einige weitere Jahre sein.
Aus dem aktuellen Angebot käme für mich als Couch-Device nur das 12 Zoll MacBook in Frage, das 11 Zoll Air gibt es ja nicht mehr neu.
Meine Mutter hat das 13 Zoll Air - das wäre mir für die Couch zu groß.

Mit Deinem MBA kannst Du folgendes versuchen:

1. SMC reset
2. NVRAM reset
3. Start in den Recovery-Modus und dort im Festplattendienstprogramm die Macintosh HD überprüfen (= "Erste Hilfe").
4. Einen Start im abgesicherten Modus durchführen (=Beim Gong die Shift-Taste gedrückt halten). Während des abgesicherten Modus werden automatisch alte Caches gelöscht. Danach wieder normal starten.

Fakt ist, EtreCheck meckert über zu wenig RAM, Avast-Klamotten sind noch (überflüssigerweise) an Bord, Adobe hat auch irgendwelche Update-Probleme und die Platte ist fast voll (weniger als 10 GB frei)
Da sind einige Baustellen, die beim MBA nicht so ohne weiteres lösbar sind. Die SSD kann man eventuell aufwändig austauschen, RAM ist fest eingelötet, und die SW-Probleme müssen händisch gelöst werden. Aber Sierra mit "nur" 2GB RAM wird nie wirklich flott werden, gebrauchsfähig auf jeden Fall, aber schnell..........

Soweit richtig. Ich persönlich glaube, dass die fast volle SSD den Rechner viel stärker ausbremst. Weil bei wenig RAM dort auch noch ausgelagert wird. Und dann wirds eng.

Nicht etrecheck meckert über zuwenig RAM, sondern OS X/macOS.
Der fehlende RAM führte nach nur einer Stunde Betrieb dazu, das bereits Systemprozesse beendet wurden (bei Bedarf werden diese neu gestartet) und das ausgelagert wurde. 2 GB RAM sind für moderne Systeme zu wenig und hier zeigt sich dieses, das ein Rechner/System auch mit nur 2 GB mehr recht als schlecht laufen kann steht ausser Frage, nur große Sprünge kann man da nicht erwarten.
Das das in Verbindung mit zuwenig freien Platz auf der Platte und den Überbleibseln der Softwarereste dann zu Problemen führt ist verständlich.
Dem TE kann man nur empfehlen, die Softwarereste zu entfernen, immerhin ist auch mehr oder weniger Schadsoftware(Avast) darunter, und Platz auf der Platte zu schaffen und auch zum Beispiel nicht unbedingt 2 verschiedene Browser zu nutzen, sondern gleichzeitig nur einen.

Unter Umständen kann das auch am verschlissenen Akku liegen. Zuerst aber die SSD ausschließen.

Das klingt blöd, ergibt aber ggf. Sinn: Kannst du den Test noch einmal machen und die neuen Werte posten? Es geht um Werte, die sich verändern.


Außerdem solltest du, falls du die Daten noch brauchst, umgehend ein aktuelles Backup anfertigen.

Kabel oder Platte defekt, würde ich sagen. Genau wie @Macbeatnik tippte.

- Backup machen, falls noch möglich

Billige Vorgehensweise:
- Kabel tauschen und testen
- falls Problem bleibt, Platte tauschen.

Bessere Vorgehensweise:
- Kabel tauschen und direkt SSD einbauen. Dann hast du wieder einen guten Rechner.

EDIT: Und ggf. Akku tauschen

Ob sich das bei dem Rechner noch lohnt, musst du selbst entscheiden.
