Mac Studio: Laufend Kernel Panics beim runterfahren

Guten Morgen zusammen,

ich habe an meinem neuen Mac Studio laufend Probleme mit dem runterfahren. Es vergeht kein Tag, an dem ich das Abschalten nicht manuell erzwingen muss, weil die Kiste sich aufgehängt hat, bzw. rebootet.
Was ich vielleicht noch erwähnen sollte, mein Nutzerordner liegt auf einem OWC Thunderblade und ich habe Softraid installiert. Geht auch gar nicht anders, da ich zusätzlich noch ein Thunderbay Flex zum arbeiten und für Backups nutze.

diesen Fehler bekomme ich mit einigen externen Geräten.
Eigentlich besagt er, dass irgendwas nicht innerhalb des Watchdog-Timeouts geantwortet hat und impliziert somit, dass wohl irgendwas nicht hinreichend kompatibel ist. Du könntest probieren, ob Du als Workaround die Geräte vor dem Herunterfahren unmounten und ausstecken kannst und der Fehler dann nicht mehr auftritt.
Schon mal nach den Geräten und dem Fehler gesucht? Den Softraid-Support angefragt?

Ja, aus dem Bericht kann man nur ablesen, dass das System gemerkt hat, dass die Hardware aus unbekanntem Grund "hängt".

Es wäre einen Versuch wert, ob das Problem verschwindet, wenn man die Zusatz-Hardware weglässt.

Hallo!

Erstmal danke für die Hife + Lösungsvorschläge. Unmounten mache ich idR. immer, aber das passiert auch wenn nur das Blade angeschlossen ist. Das lässt sich nicht unmounten weil der Nutzerordner da liegt. Ich kontaktiere mal den Softraid-Support und versuche mal mit neuem Nutzer und ohne Peripherie zu arbeiten. Melde mich dann noch mal.

Danke für den Tipp, aber ich benutze keine USB-Geräte, ausschliesslich Thunderbolt.

Das Problem kann ich inzwischen auch eingrenzen, es ist der Softraid-Treiber, der Probleme mit dem M1 und zb. RAID 0 hat. Den brauch ich allerdings.
Mit Wechsel auf Softraid 7 (Voraussetzung für Ventura) ist es besser geworden, zumindest kopieren geht inzwischen ohne Probleme. Aber es ist mir bisher nicht gelungen das Studio auch nur einmal korrekt auszuschalten.

mit SoftRAID hat sich doch neulich schon einmal gemeldet, da habe ich vorgeschlagen, vorher zu unmounten und das Laufwerk abzuziehen. Insgesamt aber keine gute Software, was man da schon gelesen hat, mein lieber Schwan…

Hi, habe ich jetzt erst gelesen. Ja das Problem ist erledigt. ich habe auf der Seite von Softraid eine Zusammenstellung gefunden, an die ich mich gehalten habe (RAID 4 bzw. 5 64K Stripe Unit Size) https://www.softraid.com/support/known-issues/ und nach Update auf ei ne neuere Softraidversion war das Problem behoben.
Ja ist Veresion 4, 8TB. Ich habe alles ausser Betriebssystem und Apps auf dem Blade inkl. Benutzerordner. Damit bin Ich super zufrieden.
