[10.8 Mountain Lion] Langer Bootvorgang + Anmeldefenster hängt

ich beobachte seit ein paar Tagen dass mein Mac mini plötzlich sehr langsam bootet. Er braucht 1 Minute und ca 15 Sekunden, normal sind für den Start irgendwas < 20 Sekunden. Nach dem er es dann zum Anmeldebildschirm geschafft hat, gibt es keine Reaktion auf Tastatur und Mauseingaben. Aber: Sie werden angenommen. Gibt man das Passwort ein und "Enter" dann wird die Eingabe nach 5 Minuten registriert und verarbeitet. Ab diesen Zeitpunkt arbeitet der Mac auch völlig normal. In system.log steht auch sehr eindeutig, warum es hängt:

Ich verstehe allerdings nicht, was das timeout auslöst...


Was ich bisher alles versucht habe:


PRAM resettet
Safe mode gebootet


Hatte nichts geholfen, dann habe ich per Wiederherstellungsmodus Max OS X neuinstalliert. Hat leider gar nichts gebracht, irgendwie muss es dann wohl ein Problem im Userspace sein?!

legt nahe, dass Java nicht sauber deinstalliert wurde, ich hab es jetzt wieder installiert und die Meldung ist weg. Auf die Bootzeit hat das allerdings keinen Einfluss.


Es handelt sich um einen Mac mini von 2011, 10.8.4 ist installiert. 8 GB RAM, eine Samsung 840 SSD + die normale HDD zusammen als Fusiondrive am arbeiten. FD hat auch noch genuegend Platz so 200 GB, also auch daran liegt es wohl kaum.

Im Anhang mal die komplette system.log für einen Bootvorgang, wäre super wenn da mal wer drüber schauen kann. Wenn ihr mehr Infos braucht einfach schreiben.

Das unüberlegte Drüber installieren des Systems ist in den meisten Fällen völlig überflüssig und sinnlos. Die Probleme liegen nicht im System, falls du nicht da drin herum gestierlt hast. Er liegt mit ziemlicher Sicherheit im Userordner oder überhaupt am User selbst (vor allem wenn dieser lauter Zeug installiert hat, das dem System schadet: Virenscanner, Clien-Tools .
Zuerst kommt die Diagnose. Dann die Therapie!
Die relevanten Zeilen aus dem Konsole (in deinem Fall vom Start bis zum Ende des Prozesses) postest du auf diese Weise.
Außerdem lade EtreCheck und poste die Ergebnisse dieses Scripts.

@thecasio: Nur ein kleiner Tipp: Bei EtreCheck siehst Du selbst, was gestartet wird. Am Besten ist es, wenn Du möglichst viel der Zusätze deaktivierst und neu startest. Wenn es dann wieder schnell geht, so hast Du den Schuldigen erwischt und kannst mit dem Hinzufügen der einzelnen Komponenten und weiteren Neustarts den Übeltäter dann festnageln!

Erstens ist es hier so üblich, zweitens können wir es besser lesen, weil das Fenster gescrollt werden kann und drittens sehe ich nicht ein, warum ich mir einen fremden File runter laden soll. Du bist hier zwei Jahre dabei und solltest schon gepostete Logeinträge gesehen haben.
Du hast zwei Festplatten eingebaut, aber gestartet ist nur das Bootcamp Volumen. Entscheide dich, von wo der Mac staren soll. Am sichersten merkt sich das System das Startvolumen, wenn du es von der Recovery Disc aus markierst, neu startest, dann auch in den Systemeinstellungen das Startvolumen marrkierst und noch einmal neu startest.

Danach kannst du dich mit den anderen Auffälligkeiten befassen:

Entweder du hast mobil.me gehabt oder sonst irgendwas stimmt nicht mit deinen Verbindungen zu iOS Geräten.

Außerdem hast du jede Menge überflüssige tools installiert: Was soll um eispiel Scroll Reverser? Das kannst du über die Systemeinstellngen lösen, wenn du dich schon nicht an das richtige Blättern gewöhnen willst.

Wie gut dieses Boxscriptor funktioniert weiß ich nicht, wie Apple sagt, sind die Daten in iCloud so wie so sicher.

Ist Emit aktuell? Window magnet aktuell? Außer der Dropbox (falls du die regelmäßig nutzt) entferne alle diese tools aus den Anmeldeobjekten und starte sie, wenn du sie benötigst.

Und du verwendest eine fremde Maus (oder Trackpad), vielleicht ist da ein Treiber nicht aktuell oder sonst etwas nicht in Ordnung. Damit kenne ich mich nicht aus.
Ob eyebeam Selfconrol ein bauchbres Tool ist und keinen Schaden anrichtet, kann ich auch nicht sagen. Das brauch ich sicher nicht. Ist eigentlich absurd, sich ein Mailkonto oder einen Facebook- Zugang einzurichten und dann zu sperren. Wenn ich nicht gestört werden will, schließe ich Mail.app und Facebook ignoriere ich. Basta. Dazu brauche ich keine Tools.

Wenn du das alles überprüft, repariert udn aktualisiert hast, starte neu und poste nochmal Alle Meldungen aus der Konsole, aber nur den reinen Startvorgang.

Nur eine kleine Anmerkung: Das scheint ein "Fehler" in EtreCheck zu sein, denn wenn das Systemlaufwerk verschlüsselt ist, dann wird es nicht als gemountet angezeigt. Das ist bei mir auch so:

Beim Fusion-Drive könnte das ebenso passieren. Ich vermute, dass EtreCheck mit dem CoreStorage so nicht ganz klar kommt bzw. die Infos dafür unterschlägt.

Der TE wird also normal das System gestartet haben. Sonst würde er ja auch die EtreCheck-Ausgabe nicht haben.

Das MobileMe hatte ich gestern auch gesehen, ich meine mich zu erinnern, dass das bei anderen auch schon geholfen hat, die Konfig für den Account korrekt zu entfernen. Der Zugriff funktioniert so ja eh nicht mehr.

Bei dem Rest kann ich mich salome nur anschließen. Prüfe bitte die benötigten Tools aus Aktualität und entferne unnötige. Vor allem die, für die es Lösungen mit Boardmittel gibt (wie das Scrollen).

Ich würde vor allem noch mal einen Blick auf VirtualBox (vbox) werfen. Das greift schon früh ins System ein (wie jeder Virtualisierer) und sollte entsprechend aktuell sein. Zum Test evtl. auch mal deaktivieren. Das könnte die Probleme mit dem IOKit erklären. Der Logitech-Treiber wäre auch so ein Punkt. Bitte auch hier dringen die Aktualität prüfen und evtl. testweise mal deaktivieren (falls er überhaupt noch nötig ist). Die Maus funktioniert auch ohne Treiber, es sei denn, Du änderst ständig was an den Einstellungen.

Zu den Posts der Logs noch ein Wort: Ohne die Logs der Konsole und Ausgaben von EtreCheck kann Dir selten jemand helfen, weil keiner hier hellsehen kann. Mit genau diesen Informationen gibst Du uns ein wenig Einblick und wir kommen der Sache vielleicht auf die Schliche!

Das MobileMe hatte ich gestern auch gesehen, ich meine mich zu erinnern, dass das bei anderen auch schon geholfen hat, die Konfig für den Account korrekt zu entfernen. Der Zugriff funktioniert so ja eh nicht mehr.

Sehr interessant... Ich hab nie ein MobileMe-Konto gehabt, deshalb denke ich dass da wohl auch nie eines eingerichtet war. iCloud hatte ich mal eingerichtet, habe es aber wieder deaktiviert da es mir nichts bringt und ich lieber Dropbox verwende. Boxcryptor ist ein Tool zum verschlüsseln von Daten innerhalb der Dropbox. ScrollReverse, doch das Tool ist notwendig. Ich kann zwar mit Boardmitteln die Scrollrichtung verändern, aber wenn man wie ich eine Maus und ein Trackpad hat kann man nur für beide die gleiche Scrollrichtung aktivieren und keine verschiedenen. Bei einer Maus finde ich das klassische Scrollen um Welten besser, bei einem Trackpad mag ich die Apple-Variante.

EtreCheck hat einen Fehler, diskutil listet es korrekt auf:

Ich hab jetzt sämtliche Software auf den neusten Stand gebracht, ein apt-get wünscht man sich manchmal schon . Nunja, hat alles nichts gebracht, der Log hat sich nicht wesentlich verändert. Kann es ein Hardwaredefekt sein?

Danke, wieder was gelernt. Ich verschlüssle nichts und denke auch leider nie an diese Möglichkeit. Dann kann man die Disk Information von EtreCheck vergessen. Wenn ich mal Zeit habe, werde ich die Verbesserung den Entwicklern ans Herz legen.

So, nachdem alle Tipps die hier gegeben wurden nichts gebracht haben, hab ich das System komplett neuinstalliert. Sprich per Wiederherstellung das FusionDrive gelöscht und OS X neuinstalliert. Der Fehler ist nach wie vor da. Ich tippe deshalb stark auf einen Hardware defekt. Hat wer eine Idee, wie ich rauskriegen kann was genau kaputt ist?

Wenn Du das System eh schon neu aufgesetzt hast, könnte noch die SSD ein Problem sein, wie die vielleicht denkt, sie wäre voll. Unterziehe diese mal einem SecureErase und dann schauen wir weiter.

Hat leider nichts gebracht. Auch der Hardware-Check von Apple sagt, dass alles in Ordnung ist. Noch jemand eine Idee?

Nur so ein Gefuehl, bei der Suche nach dem IOKIT timeout gab es ein paar Treffer und alle hatten eines gemeinsam: Unter 10.8.3 keine Probleme unter 10.8.4 gibt es genau die gleichen Probleme. Da mir Timemachine immer ein komplett neues Backup macht wenns eine Version von OS X hoch geht, hab ich leider kein Backup mehr mit 10.8.3 und ein Downgrade ist sonst nicht moeglich. (?)
Also abwarten und Tee trinken. In der Hoffnung das 10.8.5 bald rauskommt und den Fehler behebt.
