Hallo!

Seit dem Upgrade auf Catalina erhalte ich (mittlerweile fast schon regelmäßig) die Meldung über nicht ausreichenden Programmspeicher. Vor Catalina hatte ich solch eine Meldung noch nie bekommen.

Hier die Eckdaten zur Hardware:
iMac (21,5", Ende 2013)
Prozessor 2,9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
Speicher 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Festplatte 1.12 TB
Installierte Catalina Version 10.15.1

Kann hier jemand weiterhelfen?

Wie schaut denn in der Aktivitätsanzeige die Auslastung des Arbeitsspeichers aus?

Hi,
schon mal den Pram-Reset gemacht?, wenn noch nicht, dann den Pram-Reset mindestens 4x in Folge ausführen, das Pram ist sehr hartnäckig bei diesem Reset.

Wie kann ich denn den Übeltäter ermitteln?
Die Aktivitätsanzeige kann zumindest einen Hinweis geben, Reiter Speicher, nach Speicher sortieren.
Außerdem mal das Programm Konsole öffnen, kann sein, daß da Fehlermeldungen anfallen, die auf das Amokprogramm hinweisen.
Kann natürlich sein, vor allem wenn der Rechner schon länger läuft, daß der Swap aus früheren Zeiten stammt - nach meinen Erfahrungen (allerdings nicht mit den neuesten Systemen) wird der nur ausgesprochen schlecht/langsam wieder abgebaut.


Edit: Ich sehe gerade im Protokoll: "not available without Full Drive Access" - du musst EtreCheck vollen Zugriff geben, sonst kann es nur Daten ausspucken zu deinem Account, nicht zum kompletten System.

Außerdem mal das Programm Konsole öffnen, kann sein, daß da Fehlermeldungen anfallen, die auf das Amokprogramm hinweisen.
Da ist einiges an Fehlermeldungen. Soll ich die ähnlich zu Etrecheck hier mal hochladen (obwohl dann müsste ich wissen, wie genau man das macht).

Mach doch mal bitte die Aktivitätsanzeige, Darstellung: Alle Prozesse, Tab Speicher, nach Speicher sortieren auf und lass es offen. Unten in der Aktivitätsanzeige siehst Du den Swap-Verbrauch. Jetzt schließ mal Mail.app - ändert sich am Swap etwas signifikant zum Besseren (betrachte ruhig ein, zwei, drei Minuten den Verlauf, um das beurteilen zu können!) ? ... das kannst Du mit weiteren Apps sukzessive durchführen, bis Du den Übeltäter gefunden hast.
(Bei mir kann ich übrigens einen drauf lassen, dass der Prozess Yarascanservice den Rechner bis zum Überlauf an Swap auslasten wird; ich muss ihn "sofort beenden", solange er noch unter gefühlt 90GB Swap bleibt...).

Ansonsten kannst Du die einzelnen Spaltenüberschriften mal zum Sortieren hernehmen und gucken, ob da was besonders auffällt. Auch erhöhte CPU-Benutzung eines Prozesses kann auf die Beteiligung an Seitenauslagerungen hindeuten. Einige Prozesse wie z.B. Safari-Tabs laufen einzeln, das muss man wissen und dann das Gespür dafür entwickeln, die überschlagsmäßig zusammenzurechnen. Genauso beim macOS Server einige Ruby- und Python-Dienste.

Die Prozessliste, die Du am Anfang attached hast, ist übrigens nur eine ganz oberflächliche Liste. Ich weiß es nicht genau, aber ich würde sagen, da sind nur jene Prozesse dabei, die auch irgendein aktives Fenster im Dock haben - das macht vermutlich so ca. 1% eines normalen Mac aus, wo auch noch Spotlight, Tools, usw. laufen, also viele Prozesse, die überhaupt kein Fenster haben oder brauchen. Am besten ist immer die Aktivitätsanzeige und da wirklich alle Prozesse anzeigen lassen.

schon mal den Pram-Reset gemacht?, wenn noch nicht, dann den Pram-Reset mindestens 4x in Folge ausführen, das Pram ist sehr hartnäckig bei diesem Reset.

Das habe ich jetzt auch nochmal gemacht mit dem Erfolg, dass der Swap auf 0 Bytes abgefallen ist. Jetzt heißt es wohl das system erstmal weiter beobachten, ob und wie schnell sich der Swap wieder füllt.

Aber gut, wenn der PRAM-Reset erst einmal geholfen hat. Fragt sich nur, wie lange ;/

ja klar, denn das bedeutet ja, dass Du rebootet hast. Beobachte das weiter. Wie gesagt, bei mir läuft Yarascan Amok. Verlässlich nach jedem Reboot. Und auch auf jedem Rechner.

Hi,
würde mal den AdobeFlash Player deinstallieren, auch der Silverlight von Microsoft wird heute in Zeiten von html5 nicht mehr benötigt, auch diesen Deinstallieren, auch so ein Speedtest ist unnötig, einen Speedtest macht man heute im Browser, diesen Speed Test kannst du auch Deinstallieren.
