Was fang ich mit der macquake3demo.bin an?

Hallo,

ich hab mir grad Quake III Arena runtergeladen von www.quake.com fürn Mac. Jetzt hab ich ne macquake3demo.bin. Wenn ich doppelklick drauf, wird sie komprimiert.

Hmmmm, hat jemand ne Ahnung?

Es handelt sich um ein Binary File.

Hab schon ein chmod 0744 daraauf gemacht, damit das Teil ausführbar wird.

Bekomme bei sudo ./macquake3demo.bin

die Fehlermeldung ./macquake3demo.bin: ./macquake3demo.bin: cannot execute binary file

ohne sudo die Fehlermeldung: -bash: ./macquake3demo.bin: cannot execute binary file

Laut google muss ich das File mit dem "Stuffit Expander" verknüpfen. Wie mach ich das? Unter File->Informationen find ich den Expander nicht für die Verknüpfung

Some people have had trouble using our downloads on OS X. When they double-click, the wrong program launches (often Roxio Toast Titanium). When they try to use stuffit expander nothing happens. In these situation, follow these steps:

1. Find Aladdin DropStuff program. You may use Sherlock program (click command-F from the Finder) to find it.
2. Drag the installer Prism3cxMacInstaller.bin file onto the DropStuff icon. This will result in the creation of a Prism3cxMacInstaller.bin.sit file.
3. Drag the file Prism3cxMacInstaller.bin.sit onto StuffitExpander icon. StuffitExpander is located near DropStuff (by default the folder is called "Stuffit Drag and Drop"). This step produces a Prism3cxMacInstaller.bin.1 file that automatically starts to install Prism.

Hmm, bloß ich find kein DropStuff.

Hast du denn den Stuffit Expander auf deinem Rechner installiert? Ansonsten solltest du ihn dir laden und installieren und die .bin entpacken.
