Unbestimmte Artikel im Englischen

Hallo,

ich bin gerade in den Finalen meiner Diplomarbeit und bin mir nicht sicher bei dem unbestimmten Artikel von Abkürzungen.

Das Beispiel:

Reformulating the general OCP into a / an NLP

• 
  NLP steht für nonlinear programm

• 
  OCP steht für optimal control problem

Ich denke es ist an, aber ich weiß nicht warum. Kann mir jemand weiter helfen?
Hier, kann man eine der vielen Definitionen der Regel sehen.

Es ist ein Enn Ell Pe, also "an".

"an" ist richtig. Siehe diese Definition:
