Safari stürzt permanent ab

Nachdem ich wegen diverser Fehler in FireFox gerne mal Safari ausprobieren wollte (Die OS X Installation ist relativ frisch, Safari vorher nie genutzt), muss ich feststellen, dass mein Safari permanent abschmiert. Es reicht schon ab und zu mal ein Tab zu öffnen oder zu schließen, es muss nicht mal gesurft werden. Wenn man Safari beendet stürzt es zu 100% ab.

Was kann ich tun? Die Preferences com.apple.safari.plist hatte ich auch schon geklöscht!
Kann doch nicht angehen... keine gute Premiere für Safari auf meinem Mac

Und ja, ich habe Rechte repariert und nein, ich habe keine Debug-Tools auf Safari losgelassen.

Du könntest versuchen, safari nochmal drüber zu installieren.
ich habe bei sec-updates mit panther am laufenden band probleme mit dem lesezeichenmenü und dem webkit gehabt.
such im at hier mal unter localized string not found oder mach die probe:
geh mal auf ein bild im internet (startseite reicht) und drücke rechte maustaste.

Ja, 10.4.x. Aber bei Klick auf ein Bild mit der rechten Maustaste gibt es das normale Kontextmenü.

ok, sonst hätte ich gesagt_ webkits ornder weg und durch drüberinstallation neu machen.

eine neuinstallation von safari könntest du dennoch mal probieren. schadet eigentlich nix.
preferences und so bleiben bei mir bisher immer erhalten.

Nein, nicht bewusst. Wenn es eine APp getan hat, mag sein. Aber es kann kaum an den Schriften liegen tippe ich mal, da ja Safari schon im Leerlauf ohne BRowsen abstürzt wenn man nur ein paar Tabs öffnet und wieder schließt.

Doch kann es und zwar massiv. Schau mal ob du irgendwo in deinem System die Helvetica doppelt hast. Oder aber ob sie in deinem ~System/Library/Fonts Ordner fehlt.

Naja, wenn Du Safari 2.x as Beta bezeichnest... da es mit OS X 10.4.x ausgeliefert wird ist es wohl weniger Beta

Ich habe mir nochmal bei den ganzen Abstürzen den Fehlerbericht angesehen.

Ich weiß, jetzt wird es gleich elendig lang, aber der Crashreport hilft vielleicht weiter. Achso, habe nochmals alles gelöscht, inkl. Preferences, den kompletten Internet-Plugins usw.
Habe auch versucht die Receips zu löschen um evtl. ein Update über Software-Aktualisierung zu erzwingen, hat aber nicht geklappt. Hab jertzt Safari 2.0, meine aber es gbt schon eine neuere Version. Aber über Software-Aktualisierung will er nichts finden. EIne Idee?

Doch kann es und zwar massiv. Schau mal ob du irgendwo in deinem System die Helvetica doppelt hast. Oder aber ob sie in deinem ~System/Library/Fonts Ordner fehlt.

Habe nun etwas festgestellt. NAchdem ich einen neuen Test-Account erstellt habe und Safari darüber starte, läuft es stabil. Es muss als etwas sein,w as in meinem User-Verzeichnis liegt. Jemand eine Ahnung was es neben den Prefs und Plugins noch sein kann?

Was die Schriften angeht: mein Spotlight findet bei Helvetica auf meinem System mehrere Helvetiva. (alle gefundenen Schriften haben allerdings unterschiedliche Dateigrößen). Alle im Namen etwas anders und zu finden in

/Sytsem/library/fonts
/library/fonts

Jeweils mit den Anhängseln CY, LTMM, LT MM und ohne Anhängsel

Danke an die Community dür die zahlreichen Tipps. Der Fehler ist nun endlich gefunden und beseitigt worden.
Schuld war ein Plugin des SpeedDownloaders der sich nicht in den Inetrnet-Plugins verbarg, sondern im Benutzerverzeichnis unter /InputManagers.

Kaum gelöscht, läuft Safari nun endlich stabil! *freu*
