Neuinstallation oder den Fehler manuell beheben?

Guten Tag.

ich habe ein Problem mit 2 Programmen, die sich weder durch Neuinstallation eben dieser Apps beheben lassen, noch durch Kombo-Updates des ganzen Systems.

Dabei handelt es sich um iMovie 08 und 09 sowie The Tube.

Bei iMovie ist es so das das Programm abstürzt sobald ich die "Themen" anwähle. Alles andere funktioniert problemlos. Bei The Tube ist das Problem das es eigentlich sofort abstürzt wenn ein Fernsehbild gezeigt werden soll. Bei beiden Programmen bringen Updates und Neuinstallationen nichts. Das Problem tritt bei allen Benutzern auf.
Ich glaube daher das es ein Fehler bei Quicktime oder in den Grafiktreibern ist.

Hat jemand eine Idee wie man das Problem ohne Neuinstallation beheben könnte?
Und wenn eine Neuinstallation notwendig ist, reicht da das "Installieren und Archivieren" mit anschließender Migration, oder sollte man am besten alles ganz Platt machen und alte Daten von Hand auf das neue überspielen?
