MBP (late 2008) - Akkuproblem und Kernel-Panic

Hallo miteinander

Ich habe ein MBP, welches ich anfangs 2009 erworben habe (ist wohl ein late2008: 2.4ghz, 4gb ram, erstes Unibody) und habe folgende Probleme:

- Akku hält mittlerweile nicht mehr allzulange, wo finde ich einen günstigen Ersatz? Möchte nicht 120 Euro ausgeben
- Habe oft Kernel Panic's, jedes Mal, wenn ich den Laptop ausschalten möchte bspw, ich habe den Eindruck, er wird zu heiss auf der Rückseite und stürzt deshalb ab, was kann ich hierbei tun, um dieses Problem zu lösen?

Da ich im August mit einem Studium beginne, würde ich gerne dieses Notebook weiterhin verwenden, da es ansonsten meinen Anforderungen weitgehend entspricht.

Hat jemand nen Schimmer, an was es liegen könnte? Hab für das Laptop mittlerweile die eh schon längst fälligen 8GB RAM und einen Akku besorgt, an den zwei Komponenten kanns also schonmal nicht liegen.

Du kannst dir mal istat pro (oder ähnliches) installieren und schauen wie heiß das Gerät wird und ob die Lüfter hochdrehen. Ggf. Hilft ein SMC Reset wenn die Lüfter nicht anspringen. Es kann aber auch sein, dass diese einfach verdreckt sind.
Hattest du das Gerät komplett neu installiert als du es bekommen hast?
