MacBook Pro 2018 ..recht lahm

Hallo zusammen.

Ich habe mir vor 2 Jahren ein MacBook gekauft, das ich hauptsächlich an meinem 144hz Samsung TV (als Office Gerät parallel mit meinem Gaming PC, der mehr Strom braucht..) betreibe.. und ab und an eben auf die portable Nutzung angewiesen bin.

Eben weil er leiser und stromsparender ist und auch mit meinem Office iPad und iphone, Airpods etc gut harmoniert..

Ich hatte mir sogar extra das Pro gekauft, weil ich wert auf flüssige Abläufe lege, weshalb es mir auch wichtig war mit einem guten Kabel die 144hz zu übertragen. (ich weiß da gibt es verschiedene Meinungen, aber ich bin 144hz gewohnt und 60 hz ist für mich mittlerweile gefühlt schwer erträglich.. ist vlt auch ein Tick aber so ist es jetzt)

Trotzdem dachte ich das MacBook PRO ist maßlos overpowered für meinen Anwendungsbereich (->nur Office und surfen)
Dennoch stelle ich fest, dass im Monitorbetriebe, des öfteren die Maus nicht nachkommt und stockt. Also nicht immer hundert % flüssig läuft. (Definitiv generell flüssiger durch 144hz, aber die punktuellen Ruckler haben damit ja nichts zu tun) Das stört mich schon sehr im Workflow muss ich sagen.

Mein Frage jetzt: Kann das daran liegen, dass das Betriebssystem (obwohl auf dem neuesten Stand) schon zugemüllt ist? (Wüsste jetzt nicht von was) oder woran könnte es liegen? Kann es theoretisch auch an der Leistung des Geräts liegen?? Was ich mir bei dem Preis von damals fast 2000€ nur schwer vorstellen kann. Kennt ihr das Problem und habt ihr ein "Gegenmittel" oder irgendwas, was Besserung verheißt gefunden? Danke schonmal!

Also mein WIndows PC funktioniert am DIsplay perfekt mit 144hz, der is wohl nicht das Problem. Wie ist das mit Monitortreiber für Mac?

Doch am externen Monitor schaffen die 144hz, habe auch über google viele Erfahrungen dazu gefunden.

Abgesehen von FPS-Games ist es beim täglichen Arbeiten schon schön wenn man mit mehr als 60Hz/FPS seinen Desktop nutzen könnte. Du kannst es ja mal umgekehrt machen und deine aktuelle Auflösung mit 30Hz/FPS betreiben. Nicht wirklich angenehm. Ich habe meinen Desktop zwar auch noch nie >60Hz erlebt, könnte mir aber vorstellen, dass der Effekt bei 120 resp. 144Hz doch recht angenehm wäre (wenn es die GPU mitmacht).

Also ich habe lange 60 hz genutzt und konnte auch nicht nachvollziehen was einem mehr HZ bringen sollen, aber wenn man einmal 144hz gewohnt ist, fühlen sich 60 hz einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäß an. Vielleicht kann man sich nach einiger Zeit wieder zurückgewöhnen, aber ob man das möchte.. Ich möchte die 144hz jedenfalls nicht mehr missen und habe wie gesagt nochmal 40€ (in einen dp splitter und ein dp->usb-c Kabel mit power delivery) dafür investiert.

Aber das ist ja nicht das Thema.. das Thema ist weshalb ich punktuell Systemeinbußen habe, die sich wie kurzzeitig 2 Hz Perfomance anfühlen..

Das mit den 50% ohne Last, zeigt meine Aktivitätsanzeige übrigens anders an:

Big Sur macht da wohl einige Probleme. Ich kann meinen Monitor auch nicht mit 144 Hz am M1 Mac mini betreiben, weil die Maus oft stockt und stehen bleibt. Abhilfe schafft hier erstmal 100 Hz, bis Apple das Problem per Update löst.

Ich kenn mich wirklich gar nicht aus mit dem System. Die Tabelle (wenn du die Auflistung der Prozesse meinst) ist ja direkt darüber.. aber da weiß ich wiederum nicht was ich analysieren soll. Kannst du mir vlt etwas genauer beschreiben wie ich vorgehen muss?

Schaut normal aus. Du solltest in der Aktivitätsanzeige nachsehen, wenn der Rechner lahmt. Als du den Screenshot gemacht hast, hat der Rechner nicht gelahmt, oder?

Naja lahm an sich nicht, aber eben was ich meine, dass der Mauszeiger ab und an hängen bleibt, war schon der Fall.. meistens dann wenn ich kurz was minimiert hab (also kurz verharrt bin) macht der Zeiger einen optischen Sprung und ist einfach nicht verlässlich flüssig wie zb bei meinem Windows system oder im "nicht-Monitor"-Betrieb.

Ich habe das an meinem Mac mini auch manchmal und schaue dann nach, ob ein Prozess in der Aktivitätsanzeige hohe CPU-Last erzeugt. Ich merke ein verändertes Mausverhalten bei ca. 90% CPU-Last.

Was nicht klar ist, ob dieses Verhalten bei dir, mit dem Trackpad des Mac passiert oder ob du externe (Bluetooth-) Peripherie angeschlossen hast. Also eine externe Maus oder ein externes Trackpad.
