Macbook (A1181) Videos ruckeln, dann kommt der Absturz

Hallo,

ich glaube zwar die Antwort auf meine Frage schon zu kennen, doch bevor ich den Schraubendreher, Pinsel, Waschalkohol und Leitpaste hervor hole und zwei Stunden investiere...

Mein altes Macbook stürzt unter Volllast ab (Kernelpanic). Möchte ich Youtube-Videos angucken, so laufen sie in der ersten Minute flüssig, dann ruckelig, dann kommt die Panic. Da sich das MB im Teillastbereich normal anfühlt und auch nicht abstürzt, nehme ich an, dass die Luftwege im Inneren zu sind. Was meint ihr?

Du könntest mal den Report aus der Konsole hier einstellen. Vielleicht sieht man da was, was die Lüfter ausschließt.

Da stellt sich nun die Frage ob es komplett ausschaltet oder ob es einen Kernel Panic ausgibt? (Kernel Panic = der Bluescreen des Mac).

Schaltet es einfach ab ist es das gewöhnliche RSS (Random-Shutdown-Syndrom) welches durch, wie genannt, verstopfte Lüftung und getrocknete Wärmeleitpaste entsteht. Lässt sich einfach durch Reinigung und Austausch beheben (siehe ifixit.com)

Ist es aber ein Kernel-Panic wird es schon übler. Dies bedeutet, dass ein wirklich gravierender Fehler beim Ausführen von etwas entstanden ist. Dies sind bei den Modellen die ersten Anzeichen eines sich auslötenden CPUs und oder Chipsets. Ich würde dir, wenn du noch etwas Freude an deinem Macbook haben möchtest, dringendst empfehlen keine anspruchsvollen Aufgaben mehr damit zu bewältigen (was bei den Modellen auch schon Youtube Videos sind).

Zudem würde ich mir das Programm SMCFancontrol zulegen. Damit kannst du immer die Temperatur deines Macbooks überwachen.

Mit frischer Wärmeleitpaste sollte es etwa folgende Werte haben:

Idle: 40-50°
Office: 55-60°
Mehrere Programme: 60-70°

über die 70° solltest du wirklich nur in Einzelfällen hinausgehen. Sprich bei etwas, was sich nicht vermeiden lässt wie Updates oder Installationen.

iStatPro fürs Dashboard kann sicherlich auch nicht schaden zur weiteren Überwachung.

Sichere deine Daten schnellstmöglich!


Falls dein MacBook dann wirklich demnächst einen Logicboard defekt aufweisen sollte, schau einfach auf Ebay. Dort gehen diese Modelle mit sonstigen Schäden aber intakten Logicboards für fast nichts weg. Und da du ja schon Erfahrung mit dem Schraubenzieher zu haben scheinst sollte ein Tausch für dich kein Problem sein

herzlichen Glückwunsch, den Fehler sah ich noch nie. Klingt aber echt nicht gut. Ich würde sagen, bei so einem alten Gerät kann man den Schraubenzieher gutheißen - einmal aufschrauben, nachgucken, vielleicht aus den Lüftungswegen Staubflusen per Pinsel und manuellem Pusten (nicht etwa Staubsauger) beseitigen. Dann kann man auch noch die Wärmeleitpaste entfernen und neue auftragen - doch der Fehler klingt doch mehr nach bereits eingesetztem CPU-Defekt. Normalerweise (seit Erfahrungen aus der P4-Ära) sollten thermische Probleme zu einem Throtteling führen und nicht zu einem Defekt. Also ich bin skeptisch, ob da noch was geht.

Um das Thema zu beenden:

Heute habe ich das Macbook geöffnet und den Lüfter entfernt. Zwar gab es kaum Staub oder Flusen aber die Wärmeleitpaste war zerbröselt.
Ich habe die Reste entfernt und neue Paste aufgetragen. Problem gelöst.
