Ich hoffe ich habe beim Suchen kein bereits vorhandenes Thema hierzu übersehen, aber da es scheint, als hat es noch niemand hier geposted:

Code:
If you have a SSD drive, you might know that TRIM is not available for Mac OSX.
(What is TRIM? Look at this video)
In recent OS versions for Macbook Pro 2011 though, and in Lion, there is support for TRIM. But only on Apple SSD brand!
So I made this patch to enable TRIM for any SSD in Snow Leopard!
Some users have even reported that it is working in Lion beta!
Here you go, TRIM Support Enabler for Snow Leopard:

Download TRIM Support Enabler
Tip: If you still don’t get TRIM, make sure your disk supports it! Older SSD does not have TRIM, or need firmware upgrade.
How to tell if TRIM is working and not just a fake message in System Information?
xlr8yourmac came up with proof:
“First what we noted is reverting performance via synthetic test back to original. Another – is using “hdparm” method. Booted in linux, mount SSD with HFS, creates small file in specific place and saves the info about address of sectors that contains that file. In linux TRIM is turned off for HFS. Boot to OS X and delete this file. Back to linux – check the address – and we see only zeros. TRIM is working.”
Thanks to Macbidouille and their users for their work of continuing pushing performance for Mac.
