wegen der SDK-Restriktionen kann ja leider kein Entwickler einen wirklich guten Profile Switcher for das iPhone schreiben. Deshalb habe ich über die Feedback-Option Apple dazu aufgefordert, es selbst zu tun, mit ein paar Ideen, die ich total klasse finde und teils so auch noch nie auf einem anderen Telefon gesehen habe.
Was meint Ihr dazu?
Hier mein Feedback an Apple:
Hello,
there's something that's available for every Smartphone, but cannot be made available for an iPhone, at least not without a Jailbreak:
A good profile switcher. Unfortunately, the iPhone is missing profiles altogether, and a decent profile switcher can't be programmed by some third party developer due to the restrictions of the SDK.
So, as you prevent developers from writing one for the iPhone, bring it to us yourselves!
A good profile switcher should be able to
- define about every setting in a profile, from ringtones over switching on/off bluetooth, radio, wifi and everything else that can be switched, to display brightness, configuration of mail update/push and so on
- maybe even influence configurations of other installed programs
- manually switch profiles with just some clicks
- automatically switch profiles based on time, location (usage of GPS should be configurable for battery reasons, the vicinity of certain wifi/GSM antennas should suffice) and (!) certain calender entries (e.g. event that contains "meeting" at current time -> all sounds off; event that contains "holiday" that spans the current day? -> switch off the alarm that is named "Get up" and so on)
- timed profiles MUST be very deeply configurable, like "2pm-4pm only on tuesdays, thursdays and sundays", "6pm -8pm on first friday of the month" and so on
I don't care if it's for free as long as it's good, but the iPhone definitely needs such an option. And if it had everything I mentioned here, it would even be better than any profile switcher I ever saw on other phones.
