POWER TO THE PEOPLE ! 220v vs. 240v

Hi folks,

On a PowerBook bought in the USA -

Question:

does anyone know if i can use my 240v (AMI) power adapter in Europe. Or do I need to buy a EU 220v adapter - and will this WORK on my Yankee PowerBook? Or AM I GONNA FRY MY MOTHER BOARD . . .

Helpful suggestions gratefully received.

When did you buy your Powerbook?
If it has one of these white power supplies it should work with a adapter for the european sockets.

No Problems.

Ok here is a picture of the bottom of a european power supply. If there is a note on your Input like this: "100 - 240 V 50-60 Hz" it works in Germany!

Anway, as it has been said before, the power adapter itself should work fine in Germany/Europe, the only thing you might need to purchase is the right plug for the German outlets, since those are different than those in the United States.
