RAM Problem?

Ich verwende Lion 10.7.3 und hab jetzt wieder (war schon mal in einem anderen Thread) die 8 GB RAM (2x 4GB Corsair) eingebaut.

Jetzt hatte ich schon wieder zwei Mal das Problem dass er einfach abstürzt. Manchmal arbeite ich tagelang ohne Abstürze, dann semmelt er innerhalb von 2 Stunden 5x weg.

Ich kenn mich mit den Logs ja überhaupt nicht aus, aber liegt das am wirklich am RAM?

mit den 4GB die dabei waren habe ich keine Probleme. Ein PRAM-Reset hat nichts gebracht.

Ich will nicht schon wieder zum Conrad laufen und den RAM umtauschen.

Soweit ich das Log interpretieren kann macht die CPU 3, das ist der zweite Kern der DualCore-CPU, Schwierigkeiten. Das kann sehr wohl mit einem der beiden RAM-Module zusammenhängen. Meine Empfehlung: Nimm mal das Modul aus der zweiten Bank heraus und betreibe testweise das Book nur mit einem Modul. Wenn das funktioniert das gleiche Vorgehen mit der anderen Bank. Damit kannst du per Fehler-Ausschlussverfahren rauskriegen ob eines der beiden Module ein Problem hat.

Schau mal bitte bei dir im Apfel-Menü unter: "Über diesen Mac", "Weitere Informationen" und dann bei "Speicher" ob bei dir oben rechts bei beiden Statusmeldungen "OK" steht. Falls nicht, dürftest du dort sehen welcher beider Speicherriegel Probleme macht.

Hast du zufällig den ACPP?
Falls ja, hast du dort eine Diagnose-Software, mit Hilfe derer du deinen Mac auf Herz und Nieren überprüfen kannst. Dort kannst du auch den Arbeitsspeicher intensiv testen und analysieren lassen.

Ich gehe davon aus, dass du die richtige RAM Technologie (DDR2, DDR3 ...) verbaut hast um den Punkt schon mal ausschließen zu können.

Letzteres kann man auf jeden Fall schon mal auschließen, da ein DDR2-Modul nicht in die Bank für ein DDR3-Modul passt und umgekehrt. Auch sind laut dem Log die richtigen Module verbaut: PC3-10666 DDR3.
Was mir auffällt ist, du hast einiges an "fremden" Kernel-Extensions installiert. U. a. die Erweiterung für die Radiosilence.app. So viel ich weiß ist das ein Systemtools mit ähnlicher Funktionalität wie Little Snitch und vermutlich genau so schädlich die dasselbe. Deinstalliere doch mal den Krempel vorsorglich, vielleicht sind dann deine Problem auch weg.

Was ist ACPP?

Eingebaut habe ich zwei mal
4GB DDR3 1333MHz von Corsair (ich nehme schon an das das der richtige ist)

Auf der Support Seite von Apple steht folgendes:

PC3-10600 DDR3 1333 MHz type RAM

Das mit dem DDR2/DDR3 bin ich bei meinem Acer draufgekommen, als ich die 4GB aus dem MBP reinbauen wollte (der kann nur DDR2)

Von Linux her bin ich eh kein so ein System-Verbesserungs-Tool-Installierer. Diesen Krempel hatte ich nicht mal unter Windows.

Installiert hab ich eigentlich was das System tiefer angeht nur:

watch

die üblichen Unix-Spielereien halt.

Die angeschlossenen externen Speichermedien sind wie formatiert und kommt die Panic auch, wenn du keine externen Platten angeschlossen hast.

ACPP ist der Apple Care Protection Plan der deine Garantie von 1 auf 3 Jahre verlängert. Mit dieser Garantie bekommt man ein Programm, welches wenn es installiert ist das System prüfen kann.

Richtig. So wie es aussieht, scheint zumindest das Betriebssystem keinen Fehler festzustellen.

Hatte noch den alten Aufbau des Apfelmenüs im Kopf, weil ich momentan noch 10.6. installiert habe und das hier noch wie beschrieben aufgelistet wird.


Vielleicht findest du das Tool, welches bei ACPP dabei ist ja im Netz. Es heißt: TechTool Deluxe und funktioniert meiner Erfahrung nach sehr gut.

Angeschlossene Speichermedien:
IOMEGA Externe über Firewire mit TM-Partition und einer Datenpartition mit HFS-Formatierung
Ab und zu USB-Sticks mit FAT/EXTFAT (die haben aber mit den 4GB RAM in der Originalversion nie Probleme gemacht.)

Zuhause hab ich die TM-Platte immer hängen und keinen Unterschied festgestellt zu dem Zustand in der Schule ohne jegliche externe Speichermedien.

An sich läuft er stabil, aber mittendrin, ab und zu bei Youtube schauen, ab und zu einfach so, semmelt er weg.

Ab und zu kommt auch nach dem Ruhezustand nur ein schwarzer Screen.

Okay, sorry.
Habs gerade mal gegoogelt und gemerkt, dass es mit 10.7 nicht kompatibel ist.

Wie äußert sich eigentlich der Absturz deines Macbooks?

Falls bei dir die allgemein bekannte Kernel-Panic Meldung kommt, rate ich dir direkt zum ASP zu gehen, weil dann auch was an der CPU schuld sein können. Mein Macbook ist aufgrund dieser Kernel-Panic Meldung abgestürzt und das lag, nicht wie ich auch vermutet hatte am RAM, sondern an der CPU.

Erklär einfach mal bitte wie es abstürzt und ob da vorher ne Meldung oder ähnliches kommt.

Ich arbeite normal (surfe im Netz, Office offen, Chat-Programme offen) und er kratzt einfach ohne Vorankündigung weg.

Da steht dann einfach das hübsche Fenster mit der Anweisung in 7 Sprachen den Powerknopf gedrückt zu halten.

Beim normalen Arbeiten bekomm ich die CPU kaum über 10%. Der RAM war mit den originalen 4GB immer ziemlich ausgelastet, bei den 8 zeigt er im Schnitt so 3GB als "free" an.

Mit dem original RAM von Apple ist mir das Teil kein einziges Mal abgestürzt.

Nachdem der Rechner jetzt 3x abgestürzt ist, und er anschließend so gehangen ist, dass ich nicht mal den Report hier posten konnte, hab ich jetzt wieder den original-RAM eingebaut. Mal sehen ob er jetzt stabil läuft.

Das würde ja das CPU-Problem ausschließen

Richtig.

Wenn das Macbook mit dem original RAM läuft, liegt es am RAM. Läuft es mit dem original RAM jetzt immer noch nicht ruhiger, liegts an der CPU.
Möchtest du auf Nummer sicher gehen, bringst du einfach das Macbook zum ASP, mit dem Conrad RAM (würde ich erst mal nicht erwähnen, dass der RAM nachträglich eingebaut ist) und schilderst den Technikern dein Problem. Die werden dann die Apple Service Diagnostics über das Macbook laufen lassen, welche jegliche Fehler am Book aufklären und identifizieren wird. Liegts am RAM, hast du auf jeden Fall die 100% Bestätigung, liegts nicht am RAM, bekommst du ein neues Logicboard.

In Österreich haben wir keinen Apple-Store. Nur die Reseller. Dort einfach hintragen und sagen er stürzt ab und zu ab. Dann testet er den?

In Deutschland ist es so, dass es einmal Apple persönlich gibt, dann die Reseller und Unternehmen (Apple Service Provider), die sich nur auf die Reparatur der Geräte kümmern.
Bei Apple persönlich werden die Geräte auch von Apple repariert. Bei den Resellern wird kein Gerät repariert. Sie nehmen die Geräte nur an, halten den Fehler/das Problem fest und leiten die Geräte an die ASP weiter, welche diese dann im Namen von Apple reparieren.

Wenn du in einen Reseller gehst, wird der (denke ich) auch in Österreich einen Vertrag mit einem ASP haben. Somit dürfte er dein geschildertes Problem notieren und das Gerät zum ASP bringen.

versuch einfach mal via google in Österreich in deiner Umgebung einen Apple Service Provider zu finden, bzw. schau einfach mal nach welcher Reseller in Frage kommt und dir sympathisch ist und schau mal nach ob im Netz irgendetwas steht, wie die Reparaturen gehandhabt werden.

Gibt es Gravis in Österreich?
Wäre neben Apple und reStore mit einer der größeren Anbieter (zumindest in Deutschland) die den Reparatur Service bieten.
