Ubuntu ISO-Image direkt vom USB-Stick booten - seit heute auch am Mac möglich

Bei mir funktioniert's leider auch nicht.
Habe ein MBP early 2011 15", da anscheinend das CD-Laufwerk nicht erkannt wird, musste ich zu Grub2EFI greifen.
Naja, Grub Menü erscheint, aber egal ob ich A oder B wähle, kommt eine Fehlermeldung, dass die Grafikkarte nicht erkannt wird.
Weiß jemand Rat?

Ihr immer mit eurem Ubuntu....

Wann werden denn mal andere unterstützt? Linux Mint - Debian testing z.B. Als Anfang würde natürlich Debian reichen^^

Ich habe ca. seit 2 Wochen ein aktuelles 64bit GRML nightly build am laufen mpb 17 late11 - per usb boot.
das rollt out of the box.

check this:

• 
  
  
• Plug in a 512MB+ blank USB key
  
  
• Start Disk Utility
  
  
  • Select the USB Key
    
  • Choose the “Partition” tab
    
    
    • Select Partition Layout: “1 Partition”
      
    • Options: tick “GUID Partition Table”
      
    • For the partition format, choose “MS-DOS (FAT)”
      
    • Apply
    
    
  
  
• Mount the grml64 ISO in Finder (must be 2011.12 or newer)
  
• Using Finder, copy all files from the ISO to the USB key partition (should be labeled “UNTITLED 1” by now)
  
• Done!

To boot this on a Mac, hold down the Option (alt) key while rebooting and select “EFI Boot” from the Disk Chooser.
(If you have nVidia graphics, you must select “Disable Kernel-Mode-Setting” due to bugs in the drivers.)
