Ja wenn Du durch die ganzen Tools den Mac unbrauchbar gemacht hast komplett neu zu installieren und in Zukunft solche Sachen vom Mac weg lässt. Verbuche es als Erfahrung und Lerneffekt.

Hallo,
mein Macbook (Pro 15" Mid 2010) wird seit einiger Zeit immer langsamer. Angefangen hat das damals, als ich auf Lion (?) geupgradet habe. Mittlerweile habe ich Sierra und war schon kurz davor mir einen neuen zu kaufen. Hab jetzt allerdings von 4GB Arbeitsspeicher auf 8GB aufgerüstet. Allerdings bin ich der Meinung, dass es nicht sooo viel gebracht hat. z.B. wenn ich "Über diesen Mac" öffnen möchte, dauert es ewig bis das Fenster kommt. Programme öffnen sich soweit, dass sie das hüpfen aufhören aber dann passiert auch Minuten lang nicht. (Ob das jetzt immer noch so schlimm ist, kann ich noch nicht sagen). Allerdings dauert LateX kompilieren immer noch mehrere Minuten. Außerdem wird er auch extrem schnell sehr heiß.
Hättet ihr vielleicht noch Tipps für mich, damit ich wieder Freude an meinem treuen Gefährten habe?

Ich habe das gleiche Problem, mein Macbook Pro ist sehr langsame geworden. Ich habe EtreCheck laufen lassen. Das Resultat: "Performance: Poor". Leider reichen meine Kenntnisse nicht aus, um die Resultate nutzbringend zu entziffern. Kann jemand helfen?

Edit: ich verwende keine Time-Machine, weil das aus irgendeinem Grund nicht mit der Synology Diskstation funktionieren will. Ich kopiere die Dateien manuell auf eine externe HD.

Die Platte ist nicht mehr die beste (einige Parameter zeigen Probleme), aber m.E. noch nicht total kritisch, sofern du ein wirklich funktionierendes Backup hast. Ich persönlich würde sie jedoch gegen eine SSD austauschen. Dies würde den Rechner erheblich beschleunigen.

TimeMachine funktioniert definitiv mit der Synology. Ich habe das seit Jahren in Betrieb. Vielleicht solltest du das Problem auch noch lösen.

Ich sehe keine Malware. Aber wie es scheint, hast du für dein Nutzungsverhalten zu wenig RAM. Du kannst ihn für überschaubares Geld auf 8GB gergrößern. Das dürfte den Rechner ebenfalls etwas beschleunigen.

Im Hintergrund hängt Mail abgestürzt. Schließe es mit "sofort beenden". Möglicherweise zickt Google Drive herum. Hier kann es sein, dass du manuell mal ein Update machen musst (drüberinstallieren). Außerdem zickt dein Epson-Druckertreiber. Gibt es ein Update?

Wie es scheint, betreibst du ein stark veraltetes OS X. Stimmt das? Warum tust du das?

Ich bringe nur mit diesem Macbook Synology nicht zum Laufen, die anderen Macs im Haus funktionieren zumindest zufriedenstellend.

Ich weiss nicht, weshalb EtreCheck die OS-Version nicht kennt, es ist 10.12.5. Ich habe es gerade auf .6 aktualisiert, danach mache ich mich an Epson, Mail und Google Drive. Mail wird eine Knacknuss, da ich Mail gar nicht gestartet hatte seit dem letzten restart und es mit "sofort beenden" auch nicht angezeigt wird.

Vorneweg folgendes, da ich diese Themen nun schon mehrfach beim Lesen der Antworten gefunden habe...
* TimeMachine BackUps werden noch heute konfiguriert und ab sofort regelmäßig durchgeführt
* Tausch auf eine SSD Platte in Vorbereitung
* habe Avira drauf --> tatsächlich schlecht? Wie schütze ich mein MB sonst vor Viren, etc.???

Seht ihr noch weitere Probleme in den Files, deren Lösung die Performance meines MB wieder optimiert?

Das sieht auch gut aus - mit einer Restunsicherheit bei Parameter 1 und 7. Da weiß ich nicht genau, wie man die bei Seagate interpretiert.

diese Attribute sind nicht normiert. Seit ewigen Zeiten neigen Seagate hier bei RAW zu hohen Werten, also prinzipiell wäre das OK. Allerdings sind die Auswertungen nicht mehr auf Default, d.h. die Plattenfirmware gewichtet hier und zählt schon runter, obwohl sie oldage sind.

Wichtiger finde ich bei der betrachteten Platte die Load cycles, die mit 854k jenseits von gut sind.

Ich würde die Platte austauschen. Wenn man schon dabei ist, sollte man gleich eine SSD wählen, damit bekommt der Mac noch neue Lebensenergie und wirkt wie ein junger Spund.

Das Problem des zugehörigen TEs liegt aber sicher an der kaputten Batterie (replace soon). Ersatz bei fixit.com.

Hallo @MrAgain,

Dein Problem könnte an Avira oder dem typischen Serienfehler dieser Modellreihe liegen: defekte gehende SATA-Flachbandkabel. Die scheuern sich wohl die Isolierung auf und deswegen wird es langsam. Ich glaube, das liegt dadran. Ersatzteil kostet um die 30 Euro.

Danke! Also Avira kommt runter und Brain 2.0 drauf.
Weiter kommt heute noch eine SSD rein.

@Wuchtbrumme : defektes SATA Kabel höre ich zum ersten Mal... Werde mir das Kabel beim Einbau der SSD heute genauer anschauen. Wenn ich Schäden feststelle, dann tausche ich das Kabel auch gleich.

Wenn Du eh eine SSD nimmst, würde ich ausnahmsweise clean, wie so landläufig gesagt wird, installieren. So vermeidet man, das unverdauliche Reste komischer Programme stören.

Heißt, System neu auf die SSD, Daten manuell rauf. Dann hast Du Brain 2.0 mit Turbo 3.0 ️

Gute Idee mit dem zusätzlichen Hinweis: Es ist aber nur noch HS im Store verfügbar. Sollte @MrAgain noch wissen. Auf der HDD liegt im Moment El Capitan.

P.S und noch was. Noch zusätzlich RAM wäre auch nicht verkehrt.

Jo nicht wegen der Perfomance aber wegen der Sicherheit. Auf Java und Flash kann man gut verzichten
