ext. Festplatte ist Ursache für Neustart?

Hallo....

Mein MacBook Pro 5,1 von Ende 2008 (Mac OS 10.9.2) startet seit einigen Tagen immer wieder neu, nachdem ich es über das Apfelmenü ausgeschaltet habe.
Die Ursache ist eine Western Digital My Book Studio! WDH1Q10000E Festplatte 1 TB e-SATA (USB 2.0 Firewire 400 800), die ich am 800 Firewire Anschluss betreibe und auf der sich die BackUps von TimeMachine befinden.

Die Festplatte arbeitet laut Festplattendienstprogramm und nach meinem Empfinden fehlerfrei.
Und natürlich.... Ist diese Platte nicht mit dem MacBook Pro verbunden, lässt es sich problemlos ausschalten und startet nicht wieder neu. Wenn sie im Finder ausgeworfen ist, aber noch am MacBook Pro angestöppselt ist, startete das Book ebenfalls nach dem Ausschalten, sofort wieder neu.

Was kann die Ursache für dieses Fehlverhalten sein und welche Möglichkeiten gibt es, dieses zu beheben, ohne die Festplatte nicht neu einrichten zu müssen?

Konsole? Ach menno, da hatte ich auch schon geschaut... nur ist mein Verständnis für das lesen und interpretieren dieser Meldungen gleich null! Keine Ahnung, ob darin zu erkennen ist, warum mein MacBook Pro unter dem Ausschalten so leidet!

Das kann ich auch nicht garantieren, daß man was sieht (und vor allem, wer dieser "man" ist, der was sieht), aber es ist immer eine Chance. Besser als auf Glaskugeln vertrauen.

Bei vielen Problemen - bei diesem würde ich nicht darauf tippen - kann man aber auch als Nur-Benutzer schon halbwegs ahnen, welche Einträge wichtig sein könnten. Sooo kryptisch sind sie eigentlich nicht. Mit ein wenig Phantasie und wenigen Grundkenntnissen in der Computerei sieht man zwar nicht, worin das Problem besteht, aber welche Einträge nützlich sein könnten für die Suche.
Und wenn nicht, wie von doc_holleday empfohlen, alles im relevanten Zeitraum posten.

Hat denn keiner eine Idee, wie und was möglich ist, um das Problem lösen zu können?
Denn es nervt ungemein, nach jedem Ausschalten nochmals das MacBook auszuschalten.... jedoch zuvor nicht zu vergessen, die Festplatte abzustöpseln. Sonst... nochmals ausschalten!

Also ich bin wirklich nicht so gut daran die Logs zu lesen. Das nur vorweg.

Das einzige, das ich gesehen habe, das eventuell mit damit zusammenhängen könnte ist TechToolPro. Ist das nicht eine Software, die alle möglichen Temperaturen und Drehzahlen etc. ausliest? Vielleicht lässt diese die externe Platte nicht in Ruhe.

Abgesehen davon gibt's noch ein paar Fehlermeldungen rund um Java. Das hat mit dem Problem wohl eher nichts zu tun, aber vielleicht lohnt es sich so generell mal zu prüfen, ob die Installation so funktioniert, wie sie soll.

Hast du vielleicht noch weitere Programme im Hintergrund laufen, die irgendwie mit diesem Phänomen zu tun haben könnten? Einen recht anschaulichen Überblick erhält man mit EtreCheck.

Ein SMC-Reset ist vielleicht auch kein Schaden:

beim Start- und Shutdown-Prozess sowie systemnahen Aktionen wie Lüfter und Ruhezustand ist der SMC involviert. Und in Deinen Logs fallen mir ziemlich viele SMC-Fehlermeldungen auf. Ich erinnere mich, dass das mit Programmen zu tun haben kann, die Lüfter oder Batterie oder sonstige Systemparameter auslesen und/oder verändern wie z.B. SMCFanControl - solche Sachen deinstallieren, neustarten und SMC Reset durchführen. Dann sollte es gehen.

Ein anderer Grund fällt mir eigentlich nicht ein.

Hallo....

Mein MacBook Pro 5,1 von Ende 2008 (Mac OS 10.9.2) startet seit einigen Tagen immer wieder neu, nachdem ich es über das Apfelmenü ausgeschaltet habe.
Die Ursache ist eine Western Digital My Book Studio! WDH1Q10000E Festplatte 1 TB e-SATA (USB 2.0 Firewire 400 800), die ich am 800 Firewire Anschluss betreibe und auf der sich die BackUps von TimeMachine befinden.

Die Festplatte arbeitet laut Festplattendienstprogramm und nach meinem Empfinden fehlerfrei.
Und natürlich.... Ist diese Platte nicht mit dem MacBook Pro verbunden, lässt es sich problemlos ausschalten und startet nicht wieder neu. Wenn sie im Finder ausgeworfen ist, aber noch am MacBook Pro angestöppselt ist, startete das Book ebenfalls nach dem Ausschalten, sofort wieder neu.

Was kann die Ursache für dieses Fehlverhalten sein und welche Möglichkeiten gibt es, dieses zu beheben, ohne die Festplatte nicht neu einrichten zu müssen?

Das Problem hat Apple (auch unter OS X 10.9.3) oder Western Digital noch immer nicht behoben,denn die angesprochenen Probleme bestehen bei mir bei beiden in Betrieb befindlichen genannten HDD nur mit den älteren Modellen Western Digital My Book Studio! WDH1Q10000E.

Bei den Modellen WD MyPassport USB 3.0 und WD MyBook Studio Edition II (WDH2Q60000E) die bei mir auch noch im Einsatz sind,bestehen diese Probleme nicht.

Okay. Dann ist dieses Problem wohl bekannt? Schade, dass ich diesen letzten Post von marcozingel erst jetzt lese.... denn, ich hatte mir vor einiger Zeit eine neue Firewire Festplatte gekauft, weil 1TB erschöpft sind. Jetzt habe ich die WD My Passport Studio externe Festplatte 2TB (6,4 cm (2,5 Zoll), USB 2.0, Firewire 800) schwarz gekauft und auch mit dieser besteht das Problem noch immer.

Habe nun ewig ausprobiert, getestet und was soll ich noch schreiben? Wenn das MacBook Pro ohne angeschlossene Firewireplatte herunterfährt, dann ist es auch aus. Nur!!! Jetzt kommt das Kuriose....... Stecke ich die Firewireplatte nun an den ausgeschalteten Mac, dann fährt dieser wieder hoch, ohne den Power-Button gedrückt zu haben. Cool was? KLASSEEE....

Ich bin jetzt richtig sauer. Sowas habe ich ja noch nie erlebt!

Doch... wenn es ein bekanntes Problem (Apple oder Western Digital) ist, warum lief denn meine erste Festplatte Western Digital My Book Studio! WDH1Q10000E Festplatte 1 TB e-SATA (USB 2.0 Firewire 400 800) am 800er Anschluss mehrere Jahre fehlerfrei am MacBook?
Okay! Doch woher kommt der Impuls beim Anschließen der Festplatte an den ausgeschalteten Mac, ihn dann zu starten?

Das Problem liegt in OS X 10.9.4.
Besorge dir auch wenn die unerwartete Ausgabe schmerzt den Apple MD464ZM/A Thunderbolt FireWire Adapter damit funktioniert es (zumindest bei mir) gut und marginal schneller.Zumindest bleibt die Investition in deine WD HD´s erhalten.

Mein MacBook Pro 5,1 von Ende 2008 hat kein Thunderbolt Anschluss, aber einen ExpressCard/34 Slot....
