[Mac mini] mac mini plötzlich sehr langsam

Hallo, vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen?
Mein Mac Mini ist plötzlich super langsam. Habe bereits via Onyx Optimierungen ausgeführt (Zugriffsrechte, Launchservieces aktualisieren, dylds Cache usw.) Hilft aber nicht.
Zu erwähnen gibts vielleicht noch, dass der Mac Mini - von einem TimeMaschine Backup (alter Mac aufgesetzt wurde).
Habe ich da vielleicht irgendwelchen Sondermüll auf das damals neue Gerät (vor ca 1 Jahr) gespeichert?
Habe hier im Forum von EtreCheck gelesen und das mal laufen gelassen.

pfui. Es gibt keine Notwendigkeit, irgendetwas zu optimieren. Aber wenn schon, dann mit Software, von der man weiß, dass sie fehlerfrei arbeitet. Das ist z.B. bei den Programmen von Marcel Bresink der Fall, der hier übrigens mitliest. Viele Anbieter solcher Software verstehen die Zusammenhänge nicht, deshalb muss der Benutzer diese Ahnung haben (und selbst das schützt dann nicht vor Fehlern). Da das selten der Fall ist, macht man in der Regel mehr kaputt als ganz.

21.36GB sind weniger als 10% des Laufwerks und auch absolut einfach ein wenig knapp. MacOS neigt dazu, etwas langsam zu werden, wenn der Speicherplatz auf dem Systemlaufwerk knapp wird.

Kannst Du bitte "Show SMART report" anklicken und das Ergebnis posten? Eine defekte Festplatte würde auch Langsamkeit erklären.

das ist zu wenig. MacOS killt Prozesse, wenn zu wenig RAM da ist, gleichzeitig kann das Benutzen des virtuellen Arbeitsspeichers natürlich auch als Langsamkeit aufgefasst werden. Abhilfe: weniger Programme gleichzeitig öffnen.

Insgesamt verstehe ich noch nicht genau, wie Du in diesen Zustand gekommen bist. Mein Rat wäre: Wenn Du kannst, installiere neu und transferiere nur, was Du brauchst, ggfls. unter Zuhilfenahme des Migrationsassistenten. Eventuell wäre die Drüberinstallation mit dem AppStore-Installer der OS X-Version, die Du gekauft hattest (ggfls. herunterladen) noch einen Versuch wert, denn dabei bleiben korrekte und valide Einstellungen und Programme erhalten. Ansonsten halte ich das Upgraden von OS X/macOS für unkritisch; seit Jahr und Tag läuft meine Installation von einst... Mountain Lion?... jetzt unter Sierra. Auf mittlerweile der dritten Hardware (ohne irgendwelche Anpassungen). Aber dazu würde ich einfach klonen (Carbon Copy Cloner).

Ihr dürft den EtreCheck nicht ernst nehmen, denn das Programm läuft hier offenbar auf einem zu alten Betriebssystem, mit dem EtreCheck überhaupt nicht kompatibel ist.

Wir müssten erst einmal feststellen, um welches Betriebssystem es überhaupt geht. Kannst Du mal das Programm "Systeminformationen" starten und dann schauen, was unter "Software > Systemversion" steht?

das ist jetzt mit 345848 ein wenig hoch, aber 500000 sollten die modernen Laptopplatten eigentlich schon packen, zumal die anderen Werte alle gut aussehen. Ich glaube nicht, dass die Festplatte das Problem ist, jedenfalls nicht offensichtlich als erstes.

Also ich arbeite normalerweise mit InDesign und ggf. öffne ich noch Photoshop - weiss aber dass dieser viel RAM frisst (und HD-Platz).
Daher schliesse ich PS meist wieder nach einigen bearbeiteten Fotos.
Zu den Adobe Apps habe ich noch Postbox (E-Mail) und einen Browser (Chrome) am laufen sowie Textedit und FontExplorer 6 zur Schriftverwaltung. Und die Dropbox synchronisiert meinen MacMini mit dem Mac im Büro (und mit dem eines Arbeitkollegen). Weiss nicht ob diese Synchronisationen auch mit der Performance zusammenhängen.

Wie ich dazu gekommen bin: Hatte vor Jahresfrist ein unglaublich mühsamen Mini-Vorgänger (auch plötzlich sehr langsam).
Habe dann zum ersten Mal im Leben den Apple Support kontaktiert. Die haben mir natürlich geraten auf das neueste OS upzudaten. Danach ging dann gar nichts mehr und ich kaufte den neuen Mini und habe gem. Empfehlung Apple Support das TimeMaschine Backup aufgespielt. Da mich diese Neuinstallation nicht überzeugte, habe ich dann einen neuen Benutzer angelegt und alle Programme neu installiert bzw. die wichtigen Daten vom andern Benutzer rüber kopiert.
Das lief Anfangs gut. Aber eben... Vielleicht muss ich wirklich Daten löschen. Vor allem von der Dropbox. Da diese ja immer alles lokal mitspeichert.

Ihr dürft den EtreCheck nicht ernst nehmen, denn das Programm läuft hier offenbar auf einem zu alten Betriebssystem, mit dem EtreCheck überhaupt nicht kompatibel ist.

Wir müssten erst einmal feststellen, um welches Betriebssystem es überhaupt geht. Kannst Du mal das Programm "Systeminformationen" starten und dann schauen, was unter "Software > Systemversion" steht?

Wie ist dann das beste Vorgehen? TimeMaschine-Backup erstellen, System neu installieren und welche Dateien kann man denn sinnvollerweise von TimeMaschine zurückspielen? Ich erinnere mich, dass man nicht viel Auswahl hat: Programme, Dokumente, Einstellungen. Ist es besser wenn ich dann alles manuell zurück kopiere anstelle der TimeMaschine?
Oder kann ich z.B. auf die neuere OS Version updaten und so die Neu-Installation des Restes umgehen?

Wenn du keine Probleme mit im Anschluss nicht kompatibler Software oder Peripherie hast/erwartest (wäre zu recherchieren), dann kannst du auch auf ein aktuelleres OS wechseln.

Falls dein Problem auf einen Schaden am jetzigen OS zurückzuführen ist, sollte der damit behoben sein.

wie gesagt, Du kannst auch erst mal eine Drüberinstallation versuchen. Apps und Einstellungen bleiben dabei intakt, sofern es geht und das System „repariert“ sich. Hast ja nichts zu verlieren ausser Arbeits- bzw. Freizeit.

Ich hatte öfters das gleiche Problem. Altbekanntes Apple Problem bei Updates. Ich bin bei meinem Mac mini i5 2.6GHz 8GB 1TB ("erst" 4 Hare alt) wieder auf das OS bei Auslieferung zurück. Da kann ich 20 Programme öffnen und er läuft spitzenmässsig schnell. Ich bin seit 38 Jahren Mac-User, die Updatepolitik von Apple nervt ohne ende, was auch der Grund war, dass ich jetzt auf Windows umgestiegen bin. Dass ein Update gering verlangsamt kann ich ja akzeptieren, dass aber z.B. ein Programm wie Pages 50 Sekunden zum öffnen braucht, kann ich nicht mehr erst nehmen.
